Visitors often ask us where to eat, where to shop, and what they shouldn’t miss while they’re in Santa Barbara. The truth is, the best parts of life here aren’t always found on a list.

Santa Barbara is about slowing down. It’s taking the scenic drive through Montecito past Coast Village Road to the iconic Butterfly Beach. It’s kicking off your shoes, walking the shoreline, chatting with neighbors, bringing your dog along, or picking up a picnic and watching the sun drift toward the Pacific.

One of our favorite afternoons starts with a visit to Montesano Market & Deli for a fresh charcuterie board and a chilled bottle of wine before heading to Butterfly Beach. Simple, beautiful, and very Santa Barbara.

Breakfast

Our morning favorites are Tre Lune for a relaxed Montecito breakfast and Bree’osh for exceptional pastries and French café classics.

Lunch

If we’re grabbing lunch, you’ll usually find us at Montesano Market & Deli or making the short drive to Field + Fort in nearby Summerland.

Dinner

When it’s time for a memorable evening, our regular favorites are Lucky’s, Tre Lune, Little Mountain, and The Stonehouse at San Ysidro Ranch.

Cocktails

For an aperitif, we love The Honor Bar or the yacht-inspired oceanfront patio at Caruso’s at Rosewood Miramar Beach. Few places capture the relaxed elegance of Santa Barbara quite like enjoying a cocktail while overlooking the Pacific.

While you’re exploring Montecito, spend some time strolling Coast Village Road and, if you’re nearby, we’d love to welcome you into Homer Maker.
