As we look toward May 3rd, the official kickoff of the Santa Barbara polo season, we find ourselves reflecting on the deep connection between the craft we practice in the workshop and the tradition that unfolds on the field.

Located in the heart of Toro Canyon, Carpinteria, the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club is more than just a sports venue; it is a living monument to equestrian history. For us at Homer, this place is a constant source of inspiration. The world of saddlery and equestrian gear represents the pinnacle of functional leatherwork—where durability meets elegance. Every strap, buckle, and stitch in the polo world serves a purpose, a philosophy that we carry into every piece we create.

Looking Back: The Sunday Polo Book

Last year’s Memorial Day pop-up was a milestone for us, specifically because of the release of our coffee table book, Sunday Polo. At the time, it was a celebration of the community; today, it feels like a beautiful "moment in time." It captured the faces, the fashion, and the spirit of the fields in a way that remains a cornerstone of our brand’s identity.

As we move into this season, we are already looking forward to the next chapter—shooting and documenting the magic of the fields for our next publication.

Join Us: Memorial Day Weekend (May 24th)

We are thrilled to announce that we have officially booked our return to the polo fields for Memorial Day weekend, Sunday, May 24th.

This year, we’re leveling up the experience for our friends and followers:

• The Goods: We will be showcasing our most current collection, featuring our latest artisanal designs and refined leather goods.

• The VIP Lounge: We are hosting a dedicated VIP section—a space designed for our customers and friends to hang out, relax, and soak in the matches all day long.

• The Community: Whether you’ve been with us since our first stitch or you’re new to the Homer family, we want to see you there.
